2 weeks ago we went to Gouqi Island which is part of the Zhoushan Archipelago. It’s only 6.38 km2 big and has some very nice fishing villages and (relatively) unspoiled beaches.
To get there we took a bus from Shanghai to the ferry terminal on an island close the coast. The Chinese have build a really really long bridge to this island which has been converted completely to an container terminal.
Because we travelled with Youxiake we had a very brave model with us that even in the rain went posing. After a long day trying to shoot photos in the rain we went back to the hotel and dried all our stuff including my camera. On sunday the weather was a lot better and we were able to enjoy the beautiful views on this island. In the hotel were we stayed we had lunch twice. The dinner was so good we would actually go back to this place just to eat.
This island is also the most eastern point of China. You can check Baidu Maps to see it’s location (Chinese only but it works the same as google maps.).
